The Skye's the Limit Slip Leash is a 5.5ft slip with an added o-ring in the slip, a stopper, and a standard 10 inch handle.

Here's what Skylar has to say about Skye's the Limit Dog Training:
Our programs focus on creating clear, consistent communication between dogs and their people, blending motivation, structure, and fairness to help each dog thrive.
Why We Use the Slip Leash
At Skye’s the Limit, we use the slip leash as more than just a tool — it’s a communication bridge between the dog and handler. We think of it as the “Google Translate” for dogs, helping us speak in their primary language of pressure and release.
Dogs naturally understand physical feedback — it’s how they perceive the world from birth. The slip leash allows us to guide them gently and clearly through that familiar system while we build understanding of our verbal cues and body language.
Our Approach
Pressure → Release: A small amount of directional guidance gives the dog information, and the instant they make the right choice, the leash goes slack — their “yes, that’s it” moment.
Clarity: The leash provides clean communication without tension or frustration. It removes guesswork and teaches dogs that following light guidance leads to comfort and reward.
Bridge to Verbals: Once the dog consistently understands the leash, we layer in words, hand signals, and environmental cues. The leash simply helps connect those dots faster and more humanely.
Partnership over Control: The goal is never to restrain but to teach understanding — helping the dog feel supported, not restricted.
By the end of training, the leash is just a backup — a safety line — because true communication comes from trust, not tension.
